Please continue to lift the family of Brother Elve Jones, Sr. in your prayers. He transitioned on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was the brother of Sisters Daisy, Loretha and Janice Jones and the father of Brother Elvis Jones. Services have been entrusted to Hopkins Mortuary. Arrangements are pending.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study will resume in-person on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. Youth Bible Study will meet at 6:30 P.M.

Pastor Rich’s 12th Pastoral Anniversary
On Sunday, August 18, 2024, we will celebrate Pastor Jeremy G. Rich’s 12th Pastoral Anniversary. The theme for this event is “Honoring 12 Years of Communal and Visionary Leadership” and comes from the scriptures Romans 12:6-8 and Habakkuk 2:2. Rev. Jeffrey E. Mills of the Historic Seventeenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church of Anniston, Alabama will bring the morning message and members are asked to wear African attire. Rev. Ananias Hopkins, III of the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Baconton, Georgia will bring the afternoon message (3:00 P.M.) and members are asked to wear orange and green attire. Please come out and support as we honor our Pastor and celebrate 12 years of service to First Missionary Baptist Church.

There will be a Finance Board Meeting on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. in the Dr. I.L. Mullins Fellowship Hall. All members are asked to attend and be on time.

There will a Leadership Meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. in the Dr. I.L. Mullins Fellowship Hall. All leaders (Deacons, Trustees, Deaconesses and Mothers, Ministry Leaders, etc.) are asked to attend and bring their leadership binder.
Fellowship Opportunity
First Missionary Baptist Church has been invited to participate in the culminating worship experience of the First African Baptist Church’s 159th Church Anniversary on Webster Street in Bainbridge, Georgia. This service will take place Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. Reverend Spencer B. Wilson, Pastor. Our Deacons, Deaconesses and Mothers, Ushers, Choirs, and Members are asked to come to participate in this worship experience. Pastor Rich will bring the message.
