Beloved my heart was overwhelm with joy with each members and friend of First Missionary Baptist Church who came to show their support as I took the Oath of Office as a County Commissioner. I am truthfully thankful for the opportunity to serve the greater needs of the Thomas County Community. May God forever bless and keep each of you.

Beloved, please continue to lift the family of Mother Diana Flanders-Reynolds in your prayers during her recent transition. The Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00A.M. at First Missionary Baptist Church. Hatcher-People Funeral Home will coordinate the arrangements.

Church Anniversary Planning Meeting 

Beloved 2019 marks the 166th Year of the Founding of First Missionary Baptist Church of Thomasville, Georgia. The Morning Star C.L.U.B. has been selected to serve as the coordinators for this year’s anniversary. Any member of First Missionary Baptist Church who is interested in participating in the celebration of the 166th Anniversary Celebration are encouraged to attend the first planning meeting scheduled for Monday, January 14, 2019 at 6:00P.M. in the Dr. I. L. Mullins, Sr. Fellowship Hall.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study 

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study will resume on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 beginning at 6:30P.M. in the Dr. I.L. Mullins, Sr. Fellowship Hall. This week we will study Chapter 9.

Deacon Ordination 

It is with great joy and gladness that Pastor Rich and the Deacons of First Missionary Baptist Church announcement the Ordination of Brothers: Merrill Baker, Jr., Dr. Wilson Glenn, Arthur Smith, Sr., Keith Thomas, Stephan Thompson on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 3:00P.M. with the Rev. Dr. J. B. Duval bringing the evening message. Our Deacons and Trustees are asked to wear black suits, white shirts and black ties, and our Deaconess and Mothers are asked to wear white and their hats. A reception will follow in the Dr. I.L. Mullins, Sr. Fellowship Hall.

Family Night Super 

The 21st Century C.L.U.B. will host the January 2019 Family Night Supper scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 6:30P.M. C.L.U.B.S. will meet beginning at 6:00P.M. in the Educational Complex.

Fifth Annual African-American History Lecture 

Beloved, please mark your calendars for our 5th Annual African-American History Lecture to convene on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. This year’s lecture will be given by Dr. Sheena Harris, Professor of History at Tuskegee University will bring the lecture celebrating 100 Years of Women Voting in the United States. A reception will following in the Dr. I.L. Mullins, Sr. Fellowship Hall.

Mission House Drive 

Pastor Rich is asking for 100 members and friends of FMBC to give $37 toward to the FMBC Building Fund to advance the work at the Mission House. In addition to the monetary gifts, Pastor Rich is asking members and friends of FMBC to donate Hygiene Products including: 

Travel size toothbrushes
Feminine hygiene products 
Travel size deodorant 
Toothpaste 
Baby Wipes
Small snack ziplock bags 
Shampoo and Conditioner 
Socks 
Mouthwash (Non- Alcohol)
Travel size Shaving Cream
